Save on Energy, Energy Affordability Program (EAP) is a government incentive program that provides real support to struggling individuals and families by helping them lower their monthly electricity costs and increase their home comfort while bringing a positive impact on our environment.
Ontarians responsible for paying their monthly electricity bill as a homeowner or tenant may qualify for this program for the Save on Energy, Energy Affordability Program (EAP). Depending on the household income level, you could receive different energy-saving products and services.
Depending on your situation, you may receive different energy-saving products and services. Some participants may qualify for:
1- Comprehensive Support: Ontario residents who qualify for this level of support will have an energy-efficiency expert visit their home to identify opportunities to help them save energy, receive upgrades and replace eligible appliances.
Or
2- Energy Saving Kits: Residents who qualify for this level of support will receive a free Energy Saving Kit with easy-to-install products that will help them save energy around their homes.
Who is eligible for this program?
Residents of Ontario paying the electricity bill (including those living in grid-connected First Nation communities)
Eligibility for the Energy Affordability Program (EAP) is based on household income and how many people live in your home or on an individual’s receipt of a qualifying eligible benefit.
*Please note that Ontario residents served by Cornwall Electric are not eligible for the EAP as they are not connected to the IESO-controlled grid.
The program is brought by GreenSaver, the Save on Energy delivery partner and all expert advice and energy-saving home upgrades under this program are completely free of charge.
