Let’s Talk About It – Community Engagement (ZOOM)
Let’s Talk About It is a six-part session that takes new immigrants on an experiential learning journey, helping them adapt and optimize their integration within Canadian culture.
Participants will learn about Canadian culture and society, develop self-confidence, enrich their English conversational skills and build a greater sense of belonging in Canada. We encourage attending all six sessions, as it would greatly enhance the overall experience, but it is not required.
In this session, participants will learn about:
• The meaning of Community engagement, and developing appreciation for your new Canadian community
• The value of volunteering from a Canadian perspective
• How to participate in green living in the city, where we will talk about waste management in the city of Toronto
