Are you an English-speaking Ontario resident, 19 years or older, who’s been out of school?
Please join our guest speaker, Clara Chao from George Brown College, to learn about Academic Upgrading Program. GBC Academic Upgrading program is for students who want to continue upgrading reading, writing, math and science skills or to complete ACE courses (equivalent to grade 12 C course credit) to meet admission requirements for college diploma programs or apprenticeship programs. It is a tuition-free program funded by Employment Ontario.
To be eligible for this AU program, you should be:
– 19 years or older
– fluent in English (all applicants will be invited to complete the AU entry assessment)
– Ontario Resident (including Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Convention Refugees who received a Notice of Decision & a study/work permit)
To attend this in-person workshop, please arrive 30 minutes before the session starts time to register with YMCA Newcomer Information Centre. Kindly bring your PR Card, Confirmation of Permanent Resident, or Notice of Decision letter to register with us.
