Let’s Talk About It – Friendship & Socializing (In Person)
Location: 10 Milner Business Court, 6th Floor
Let’s Talk About It is a series of sessions that takes new immigrants on an experiential learning journey, helping them adapt and optimize their integration within Canadian culture.
Participants will learn about Canadian culture and society, develop self-confidence, enrich their English conversational skills and build a greater sense of belonging in Canada. We encourage attending all six sessions, as it would greatly enhance the overall experience, but it is not required.
In this session, participants will learn about:
• Defining friendship, the challenges to make friends and identifying the qualities of a good friend
• Agents of socialization and the process of re-socialization
• Using social media to develop new friendships
