Newcomer Presentation Mastery (in-person)
This is a 4-week program for professional immigrants that equips them with powerful strategies and tools to stand out in various public settings, from a networking event to a job interview.
To be eligible to participate in this program, you must be:
– A member of the YMCA Newcomer Information Centre
– A permanent resident, convention refugee or CUAET permit holder with a high level of English proficiency (minimum of CLB 7 on all four skills)
– Committed to attending all four sessions and preparing home assignments as requested by the mentor
After successfully completing all four in-person sessions, you will:
1. Develop skills that can help you stand out in various public settings.
2. Gain confidence in delivering clear and concise presentations tailored to different audiences, including peers and industry professionals.
3. Enhance your networking abilities by mastering the art of elevator pitch, increasing your chances of career advancement.
4. Foster a sense of belonging within the professional community by enhancing your collaboration skills.
