DESCRIPTION:Academic Upgrading Program from George Brown College\n \nThis webinar is in collaboration with George Brown College (GBC).\nAre you an English-speaking Ontario resident, 18 years or older, who’s been out of school?\nPlease join our guest speaker, Clara Chao from George Brown College, to learn about Academic Upgrading Program. GBC Academic Upgrading program is for students who want to continue upgrading reading, writing, math and science skills or to complete ACE courses (equivalent to grade 12 C course credit) to meet admission requirements for college diploma programs or apprenticeship programs. It is a tuition-free program funded by Employment Ontario.\n \nTo be eligible for this AU program, you should be:\n– 18 years or older\n– fluent in English (all applicants will be invited to complete the AU entry assessment)\n– Ontario Resident (including Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Convention Refugees who received a Notice of Decision & a study/work permit)\n \nTo attend the webinar, please register with the YMCA Newcomer Information Centre.\nIf you are already our client, please login to our community and register under “Upcoming Webinar“.\n
